About Me

Anytime I am presented with the opportunity to write about myself, I tend to get that familiar sensation of writer’s block. But in the spirit of being as transparent as possible, I will say that I love to read, sing, travel, watch musical theater, and jam on my acoustic guitar. Oh and I’m a wannabe foodie and enjoy the many culinary diversities this world has to offer.

I am also very blessed.

I get to wake up every day next to my best friend for life, my husband Christopher, who is my sanity, and my love. I have the privilege of being a momma to two amazing boys, who are my never ending joy and well of laughter. I am a daughter to the best parents in the world, a sister to three siblings that I’d lay down my life for, a niece and goddaughter to my aunt who I can easily call my second mom, friend to the most awesome people I’m lucky to be able to call friends, and I come from an incredibly big family who’s loudness, spontaneousness, and LOVE make me feel like the luckiest girl on God’s beautiful earth.

I also have this irrepressible love of taking photos. I like to find the “real” of life and use the camera in my hand to freeze it in time, so that when you take a look at the resulting photos in your wedding albums or up on your walls, I hope that you smile, laugh, cry happy tears, and just overall treasure how I’ve captured the “real” in you.

Oh, and for those who aren’t familiar with the the background of my first name and my logo.…

Lorelei is derived from a German folktale about a mermaid who lured ship navigators to their dooms with her alluring singing, much as the ancient Greek Sirens did. Now, I’d rather not be affiliated with murderous mermaids, but I do love music and singing my lungs out, so I guess we’ll just forget about the morbid part of the story. :P

I track any reference to the name “Conover” on the internet, and that’s how I ended up on your website. I usually end up reading about Conover, North Carolina or Conover, Wisconsin, but I see a fair number of Conovers with websites.

I wanted to say how much I enjoyed your “About Me” portion of your website. You radiate gratitude and happiness in life. You pick out those things that lift up your life rather than dwell on the inevitable downers.

Thanks.
